- What should I bring to class?
We recommend that you bring your NEC 2017 code book, paper, and pencils. If you do not have a code book, you will be provided with a handbook and / or reference materials. Exam Preparation courses require that you bring a 2017 NEC code book.
- Do you sell the NEC code books?
Occasionally we have codebooks in stock for sale on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. Call ahead to reserve one.

- Is there a Test?
For classroom courses, No. We do encourage participation and there are opportunities to test your knowledge.
For online courses, Yes. The course and test are free to take, but you must pay to receive a certificate and credits.

- What if I have difficulty navigating the online course or test?
We can offer some help if you contact us at (704) 962-6314. We do not offer any guarantees. You should have some computer know-how if you wish to take the online course and/or test. If you find it too difficult to navigate, we recommend our classroom course where you can receive valuable personal instruction and assistance.
- Help! The online course or test isn't working on my computer, what can I do?
You do not pay until you pass the test, so please give us a try. We make no guarantees as to reliability or functionality of the website. Please do let us know if you are experiencing any difficulties by calling us at (704)962-6314 or emailing us through our contact page. We will make every effort to correct any issues, but we cannot guarantee it will work on all platforms or operating systems.
- Is Lunch provided? Or Where can I get Lunch?
Complimentary coffee, water, and beverages are provided. There are restaurants within a few minutes drive of our venues. If private groups or companies wish to provide lunch, for example pizza, please contact us and we will make arrangements.
- When will my credits show up on the NC board's website?
The enrollment list will be posted to the board's website within 48 hours after class completion or after test & payment for online courses. The board allows ten days for posting enrollment and it typically shows on the board's website in 24 hours but can take several days. If you do not see your credits within 5 days please feel free to call and we will check on the status for you. To look up your credits go to www.ncbeec.org.
- How do I get my credits if I do NOT hold a NC license but are currently in the application process?
You will receive credit towards your secondary experience. If your application is available on the board's website, credit will be posted to it within 48 hours after class completion. The board allows ten days for posting enrollment and it typically shows on the board's website in 24 hours but can take several days. - How do I get my credits if I do NOT hold a NC license and I am NOT currently in the application process?
Your certificate will count towards secondary experience if you submit it with your proof of experience on your NC license application.
- Can I take the same class twice to meet credit requirement?
Technically, yes, for classroom courses, but it is not recommended by the NC board. Online courses can only be taken once every 3 years. We try to rotate classes and bring out new courses periodically. If you have any questions please fill out our contact form and we will try to answer them for you.
- Do I get a discount for signing up a group of students?
Yes we provide a discount for a group of students as shown on our Continuing Education pages of the website. You will receive the discount amount at the completion of the course along with the certificates.
