Residential Code Class
A study of all components for a single-family residential application as required by the code. Also, how and why, they contribute to safety A comprehensive look at several articles in the code that deal with wiring, boxes, receptacles, switches, AFCI, GFCI protection and where they shall be located. 2-hour course (2 credit hours) $50.00 After you pass the test, your credits will be submitted to the NCBEEC. Motors Class
A sequential study of all parts of a motor circuit from the branch circuit short circuit ground fault protective device to the controllers and overloads as well as conductors and disconnects. This course explains the reasons motors are wired the way they are, and it has examples on how to wire a motor. 4-hour course (4 credit hours) $80.00 After you pass the test, your credits will be submitted to the NCBEEC. Motor Control class
A comprehensive study of articles 430 (control circuits), 409 and 670 We will design a code approved control circuit controlling motors, a heater, start/stop stations and sensors. Showing how it should be wired. We will look at control panels for machines with motors and talk about relays, timers and other control components and terminology. Main emphasis will be on the safety of personnel. 4-hour course (4 credit hours) $80.00 After you pass the test, your credits will be submitted to the NCBEEC.
